Amanda has a very particular face, imagined by Heinrich Handwerck, and this model has been used many times by the Simon & Halbig Company of Gräfenhain, which is located in Thuringia, Germany. However, Amanda is not a toy, even less a stuffed animal and no parent would think of advising her to her child because the doll has gone through the lives of many people and all of them have been able to see her obsession.
It was not known that she was Amanda's life until she first appeared on eBay in 2003, but soon after she was purchased she was put up for sale again. Its owner then explained that strange things had happened and that he no longer wanted the doll. During the years that followed, she was going to return to eBay more than 20 times, and her successive owners were going to part with her, all giving the same reason, not very explicit: strange things were happening with this doll. Until the day when finally, someone had the courage to speak.
One woman reported that she could no longer get the doll out of her mind. When she tried to forget him, she had horrible nightmares. Without even realizing it, she was constantly talking to Amanda. The woman shared all her thoughts with the doll, her secrets, her hopes and, according to her: “She knew who she had to listen to. She liked to listen to me. But she's not as nice as you might think. "
Sometimes she felt the doll drag her into her dreams. She explained that one night she woke up with a start, her feet freezing. She got out of bed, she turned on the light and what she saw stunned her: her feet were white and covered with scratches.
Distraught, she had decided to call an ambulance and headed for the phone, but when she got to the receiver, her feet had regained their original color. Shocked, the woman had then sat down for a moment to analyze the situation and, at that moment, she had noticed Amanda. With a dark smile, the doll looked at her. She had then suddenly regained her normal appearance.
The woman then decided to send Amanda to Reggie Jacobs, a paranormal investigator, who immediately sensed a presence in the doll. Once at home, Amanda had been particularly active, having fun destroying various objects in the house. When she was happy, she stayed there, motionless, like a normal doll, but when she was bored, then she broke something. A witness even saw her running around the house.
Amanda and the paranormal investigator are still in Atlanta, Georgia, at the moment. The doll, believed to bring bad luck with it, has been locked in a glass cage and some say scratching noises sometimes rise from its box. Apparently, she doesn't like being locked up.
